About Us
Gentle Path Counselling Services is a registered non-profit charitable organization that provides Counselling, Workshops, Educational and Support Group Services to families, individuals, groups and businesses in Saint John and surrounding areas.
Our Mission Statement:
To provide quality counselling and support group service for individuals, families and children regardless of their financial means.
Educational Programs:
Gentle Path offers several programs that teach life skills, promote healing
and personal growth. Learning to deal with family challenges, relationship issues,
and appropriate expressions of feelings are the goals of these programs. Registration
is required for all programs (some subsidies available). Trained facilitators who identify with the
issues of group members guide the sessions. Instruction includes lectures, videos,
homework assignments, discussions, and readings. Participants are encouraged
to attend all sessions to maximize the benefits of each program.
Counselling Services:
Gentle Path provides counselling for adults, both individual and couples, as well as children and adolescents,
on a variety
of issues including grief, stress, anger, panic & anxiety, post traumatic
stress, addiction, divorce or separation, family violence, mediation, as well
as adoption home studies.
Support Groups:
Weekly Support Groups can further assist individuals on their journey to self-improvement
and self-discovery. The Groups offer a non-judgmental, supportive environment
and meet on a weekly basis. No registration is required, so anyone who is interested
may attend any of the weekly sessions. Topics vary from week to week and a trained
facilitator guides the sessions. All individuals are welcome to attend the support
groups whether or not they are able to manage the $5.00 fee.
